Field Opening

Dear Parents,
Coach Eden has seen his shadow, so it can only mean one thing " It Is Time For Baseball ".
I am planning on Saturday Feb 25 and Sunday Feb 26 ( if needed for a few hours ). If we get about 20-30 parents ( no players ) we should be able to get it all completed on Saturday.
We would like to get the fields ready for Coach Eden to conduct tryouts outside, if weather permits. Last year the weather was on our side and we had the fields in excellent shape for the players to get outside.
There is a google doc spreadsheet for you to sign up and help, as well as one with a list of items we need.   If you can bring any of these items, it would be a big help.
These are a few of the things Coach Eden would like us to do:
  • Put up JV & Varsity Batting Cage Nets
  • Put up Net on the Batting Tunnel
  • Put up the new Windscreens on the JV Backstop
  • Put up the Championship Banners on the Varsity Backstop
  • Put up the Sponsorship Banners and Distance Signs
  • Put up the new pads on the Outfield Fence and Backstop
  • Put down stone on the JV & Varsity Fields

Thank you,

Andy Rich

Sponsorship Committee
by Jeff Kuc posted 1/4/2017

Hi Baseball Parents

Now that the holidays are over we wanted to contact you about our Sponsorship  Committee and a small role each of you can play in helping to generate funds for our High School Baseball team.

If any of you have a relationship with Business owners or Store owners in the surrounding area please ask them if they would like to participate in Sponsoring our Baseball team for the 2017 season.

This is a great way to market their business locally and create brand name awareness.

There are two levels of Sponsorship; the first is a 3 year  sponsorship for between $850 - $1000 and a single year Sponsorship for $350-$500.

Each Sponsorship comes with a list of benefits that are highlighted in the attached Sponsorship Form.

We have some timelines we are working against so if you are indeed able to ask a local business owner please do so in the next week or so by using the attached form.

Thank you in advance for your participation, if we all make one or two inquires  (“ Together Everyone Achieves More “ ) we could generate some significant funds for our Team.

Our sincere thanks,

The Sponsorship Committee – Raider Diamond Club

Winter Training
by Eric Eden posted 12/2/2016

I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving. Below are the details to our winter training options for this winter.

Weight Room:

Weight training with Coach McFarland begins Tuesday after school in the upstairs weight room. It will be every Tuesday and Friday at 2:45pm. Players who are attending will need to fill out the permission slip and turn them in before they will be permitted into the weight room. Attached below is the permission slip. Please turn this in to Coach Matt Mosko in room 112 during home room.

Winter Training:

In years past we have provided the players with opportunities to go to a facility and run a captains practice where instructors outside of our High School program worked with the players. However this winter we do not have the same opportunities as last winter. Going to another facility has been an issue due to the amount of negative feedback from both players and parents in years past. The coaching staff does not feel it is right to provide an opportunity that will not be the absolute best option for our players. We would rather have the families save the 500+ dollars that these options would charge and use that money to seek individual options or options that would be more beneficial to each player individually at your discretion. With that being said, if anyone has any additional questions please feel free to reach out and our coaching staff will try and help guide you in the right direction.

Thank you,

Eric Eden
