It takes significant time, energy and funding to support the Hillsborough Baseball League and to make it as enjoyable as possible for your child. The program registration fee does not cover all the costs to run the program. Each player's parents will be required to volunteer their time. This approach will equally distribute the responsibility to all members of the organization for raising funds and provide the support to run this league.
All families are required to volunteer a minimum of five (5) hours in support of the organization. Your volunteer time can include uniform distribution, picture day, field opening and closing, tournament set-up/clean-up, etc. There are numerous opportunities for families to fulfill their work bond obligations. We are also looking for parents take active roles on various committees. Please see Volunteer Zonefor more information. Board members, managers, league coordinators and committee heads are exempt from this requirement.
A $50 work-bond payment per family is required at the time of registration. Families will be able to rollover the work bond to the 2017 season. In order to rollover your work bond or to have your work bond refunded you will need to complete a Work Bond Refund/Rollover Request Form. This form will be available under Documents.
Opportunities to complete your work bond volunteer duty will be posted on VolunteerSpot at the beginning of the season. When you sign up for concession duty, you are locked in and may not change your assignment within 3 days of the assignment. If it is within 3 days please send an email to

The deadline for request of work bond refunds or rollovers for current year is December 1. Work bond refund requests received after this date will be considered a tax deductible donation to HBL. Refund checks will not be mailed until after all of the 2017 seasons have ended.
